Personal Profile

Ms Renata Hutt is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 30 years' experience in the specialty working within both the private and NHS sectors.
She offers treatments in general gynaecology and has a particular interest in minimal access surgery, pelvic pain and urogynaecology. Her other areas of expertise include gynaecological and obstetric ultrasound. She offers one stop clinics for abnormal uterine bleeding and pelvic pain, early pregnancy problems and pregnancy counselling. 

Having trained extensively in minimally invasive surgery and being a preceptor for laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgical training, she can offer advanced laparoscopic keyhole surgery for endometriosis and other conditions such as ovarian cysts and adhesions. She is experienced in undertaking laparoscopic and open hysterectomies for fibroids and other gynaecological problems, such as pelvic pain and menstrual disorders. Having spent time training in urology she gained an expertise in treatment of urinary incontinence and recurrent vaginal prolapse. 

Ms Hutt is active in research, taking the lead on a selection of national studies focusing on areas such as non-invasive prenatal diagnosis and complex pregnancies. 
She is an award-winning consultant who is truly dedicated to the field of obstetrics and gynaecology and offers a high level of attentive care. 

Training and Appointment 


Renata Hutt qualified from Purkynje University in the Czech Republic in 1987 and gained further qualifications at the Royal Free University Hospital in London. She gained her Royal College of Surgeons and Royal College of Physicians membership in UK in 1990.  She holds a Joint RCR/RCOG Diploma in ultrasound and is a Fellow Member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. 

Her broad postgraduate training was centred around a number of London teaching hospitals, including Imperial College in Hammersmith, University College Hospital and St George's Hospital, where she gained experience in other specialties such as neonatology, renal medicine, renal transplantation and urology. She completed her specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the Southwest Thames region and trained in hospitals across Surrey, Sussex and London.  

Having spent considerable time training at the Minimal Access Training Centre in Guildford, she gained expertise in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.

She also spent time lecturing at St George's Hospital Medical School where, apart from organising undergraduate teaching, she developed a passion for medical education.

She completed her advanced training in foetal medicine and gained a joint RCR/RCOG Diploma in Obstetric and Gynaecology ultrasound. 

Miss Hutt was appointed as Consultant at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford in 2001. 

 

Current Practice

Miss Hutt is a Foetal Medicine Lead at Royal Surrey County Hospital and offers extensive pregnancy counselling. She is an expert in 3/4D ultrasound and runs regular foetal medicine pregnancy counselling clinics. 

Having extensive experience in obstetric and gynaecology ultrasound, Miss Hutt also offers expertise in the management of early pregnancy problems such as vaginal bleeding and pain. 

She has wide gynaecological experience and offers minimal invasive surgery for advanced endometriosis, pelvic pain, surgery for pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence as well as other open procedures.

Clinical Interests

Miss Hutt’s clinical interests include women’s health, menopause, endometriosis, menstrual disorders, prolapse and female urinary incontinence.  She offers treatment for miscarriages and early pregnancy problems, pregnancy counselling, hormonal and contraception advice, well women check, one stop assessments with pelvic ultrasound and infertility investigations.

She specialises in a number of gynaecological surgical procedures such as: hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, open and laparoscopic hysterectomies, treatment of fibroids and vaginal prolapse surgery, including sacrospinous colpopexy for vault prolapse and incontinence surgery.
