She developed a strong interest in surgery from her early years of training, choosing to pursue a career in Plastic Surgery. She was awarded an MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008 and she chose to undertake further studies due to her interest in skin cancer, obtaining a highly esteemed MD from the School of Cancer Studies at the same university in 2015.
She was awarded the FRCS Plast Qualification in 2017 which then enabled her to embark on post certification speciality training in both Mohs surgery both locally and abroad in San Diego USA and furthermore train to high level within orthoplastic hand surgery and aesthetic surgery through recognised training programmes.
She was appointed as a Consultant Mohs surgeon in 2018 at what has become Mersey and West Lancashire NHS Trust. She is one of very few Mohs surgeons in England who have a background of extensive surgical training and qualifications.
In addition to her clinical roles, Miss Nayar is actively engaged in teaching and research. She serves as a teacher and trainer for junior doctors and surgeons within the NHS. Her contributions to the academic community extend beyond her teaching roles, as she has been widely published and presented her research at both national and international levels.
Furthermore, Miss Nayar is actively involved in public organisations, holding the position of National Chairwoman for Mohs training within the Trainee Interface Group (TIG). She oversees UK surgical training for Mohs surgery in what is one of the busiest UK centres for Mohs surgery and the only approved surgical training centre currently.
