About Mrs Pam McElhone

Personal Profile

Pam has over 15 years of experience working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She has experience in a variety of settings including NHS, sport and private settings. She has worked within a variety of sports such as touring Spain and Italy with the British Triathlon squad and touring Germany with River Dance. She is currently the Deputy Clinical Services Manager of the Ross Hall Physiotherapy Centre.

Pam is from a sporting background having studied sport science and sport therapy prior to becoming a physiotherapist. She previously played football and was a keen power lifter, and now she is a competitive cross fitter and enjoys Pilates. She is qualified in strength and conditioning and is a qualified Pilates Instructor. She believes in educating the patient to empower them to manage their symptoms independently.

Pam primarily uses exercise and movement for rehabilitation - however she is qualified in manual techniques such as sports massage, joint mobilisations, acupuncture, and shockwave therapy, and uses them as an adjunct to rehabilitation when required. She is also qualified in Steroid Injection Therapy. Pam also specialises in hand therapy treating both hand injuries and post operative hands.  She is enthusiastic about helping a patient through their journey with pain, injury and surgery and helping them return to daily activities, sport, exercise and work.
