Mr Nick Emms is a leading Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee conditions, including joint replacement and complex revision surgery. With over 15 years of consultant experience, he provides expert care for patients requiring hip and knee replacements, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, and joint injections.

After completing his training in the North West of England, Mr Emms undertook the prestigious Cavendish Hip Fellowship in Sheffield, gaining advanced expertise in primary and revision hip and knee surgery at one of Europe’s top orthopaedic centres. He was appointed as a consultant in 2008 and has since become Clinical Director of the Orthopaedic Department at St Helens and Knowsley, as well as Clinical Lead for hip and knee revision services within Mersey and West Lancashire NHS Trust. He also plays a key role in regional multidisciplinary networks for complex joint surgery.

Mr Emms is committed to patient-centred care, focusing on shared decision-making and personalised treatment plans. Known for his approachable manner and excellent outcomes, he performs around 200 joint replacements each year and receives consistently positive feedback from patients.
