Mr Moosa is a Harrogate-based Consultant Ophthalmologist.

He has over 28 years of clinical experience and has been in private practice for over 14 years. He offers high quality, advanced cataract surgery using state of the art phacoemulsification with the latest intraocular lenses under topical anaesthesia (no injections required), sub-Tenon injections and general anaesthesia. Mr Moosa also offers correction of squints (strabismus) using adjustable surgery and botox injections. Other areas of interest include YAG laser treatment of posterior capsule after cataract surgery and the treatment of eyelid lumps and bumps, including removal of chalazion.

He has a track record of excellent results for both cataract surgery and squint operations. His cataract surgery outcomes are above the national standards and are constantly audited by Medisight Systems and shared each year with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. Mr Moosa is actively involved in education and training and is an examiner for the Fellowship examinations for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London, where he is also a member. He trains doctors at all levels, including experienced doctors who are training to become eye specialists. Alongside this, he is the Clinical Governance Lead at the Harrogate District Hospital. 

Mr Moosa trained in Ophthalmology in Brighton, Cheltenham and London where he sub-specialised in advanced cataract surgery and squints. This was followed by fellowship training in Children’s Eye Disorders at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Mr Moosa travels extensively to keep himself updated about the latest surgical techniques. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, is an avid walker, and enjoys gardening.
