About Moneli Golara

Personal Profile

Moneli Golara qualified from University College London Medical School in 1991, and spent the next 14 years training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in some of the most prestigious centres in London. These include Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster and St. Mary’s Hospitals in central London. She also spent 2 years as research fellow at Kings College Hospital whereby she published many papers in peer reviewed journals.

After extensive training, she started working as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2005 at Barnet Hospital and the Royal Free NHS Foundation trust, where she has been working ever since. She has also been in private practice since 2008.

She has a wealth of experience in women’s health, and being female and as a wife and mother, she fully understands and empathises with women who are suffering from gynaecological problems. She offers a holistic approach for the management of most gynaecological conditions.

She has a vast amount of experience looking after teenagers and understands the full impact of symptoms on their everyday lives, as well as dealing with gynaecology issues in younger women. She can also see children and younger girls at The Kings Oak Hospital.

Also, as an active member of the British Menopause Society, she also keeps up to date with the latest developments in menopause management and HRT prescribing.

She is an experienced surgeon, and can undertake gynaecological surgery to a very high standard. These include minor operations as well as major open and keyhole surgeries. She maintains excellent safe surgical skills and has a low complication rate.

Most importantly, she offers a sympathetic ear to her patients, and with full patient involvement, through good communication and engagement and can plan a care pathway which is holistic, individual and tailored to the patient and her family.

She also provides Obstetric care for a large number of NHS patients at Barnet Hospital. She is involved in training of junior doctors and regularly gives lectures across North London GP Practices regarding Gynaecological issues.

She works with most insurance companies and would be welcoming both Insured and self paying patients.

Appointments can be made by phoning the individual hospitals, however she has a very organised team of assistants who can help in matters of insurance and appointments.

Her PA  Amanda Jolly is on 02033276350. She can also be contacted via email, [email protected]. Further information can be found on her website, www.moneligolara.co.uk
