Mr Shorafa is a highly experienced Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, extensively trained in both Oral Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the UK and internationally. He holds dual qualifications in Dentistry and Medicine and is registered with both the General Medical Council and General Dental Council as a specialist in Oral Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
He trained at leading London hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Eastman Dental Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital and The Royal London Hospital, and completed his specialist training with the Intercollegiate FRCS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Mr Shorafa treats adults and children of all ages, undertaking surgical procedures for children aged three and above. His specialist interests include orthognathic surgery, oral and maxillofacial trauma, dental implantology (including bone grafting and sinus lift), oral surgery, and head and neck skin lesions and cancers. He also supports medical and dental colleagues in diagnosing oral and tongue mucosal lesions.
He is actively involved in medical education as an examiner for national surgical and dental examinations and is an instructor in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He currently holds consultant and lead clinician roles across regional oral and maxillofacial services.
