About Mr Mark Willett

Personal Profile

Mr Mark Willett qualified from Birmingham University Medical School in 1994. Since his initial qualification, Mr Willett has gained a vast amount of experience in gynaecology and obstetrics in a number of NHS trusts across the North West of England.

In 2005 Mr Willett was appointed Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at Royal Blackburn Hospital, part of East Lancashire NHS Trust.

Mr Willett specialises in general gynaecology and gynaecological cancer screening and management. He has a special interest in robotic assisted surgery having trained with Intuitive Surgical in London and Strasbourg. He is also accredited in advanced laparoscopic surgical techniques.

He was appointed Deputy Medical Director in East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2014.
