About Mrs Maliha Furqan

Personal Profile

Maliha specialises in Vestibular Rehabilitation (VR) and Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy. She holds a first-class clinical doctorate (DPT) degree from UOL and an MSc in Physiotherapy with Distinction from GCU, underpinned by Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation training at UCL (Ear Institute). 

She has a profound interest in all aspects of vestibular health and is a member of both the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR) and the Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA). Her practice is focused on diagnosing and treating balance and dizziness disorders, using evidence-based techniques, including BPPV manoeuvres, and prioritising patient education to help patients regain stability and improve their quality of life.

Her diverse experience in orthopaedics, neurology/spinal injury, special needs/community, paediatrics, and sports therapy, both locally and internationally, enables her to provide a well-rounded and holistic approach to patient care. She is skilled in BPPV testing, nystagmography, balance retraining, gait retraining, trigger point therapy, taping, mobilisations, traction, electrotherapy, and neuromuscular techniques.

Maliha’s approach to physiotherapy is patient-centred, she believes in educating her patients along their journey and developing individualised plans, combining various treatments with exercise prescription, that address each patient's unique needs and goals.

Additionally, Maliha is also fluent in Urdu and intermediate in Punjabi.
