Mr Mahendra Kulkarni is a Consultant in Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery. He first completed the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in General Surgery and subsequently trained in Plastic Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery in the London, East Grinstead, Chelmsford and Trent regions. He was awarded FRCS(Plast) by the Intercollegiate Board of Royal College.
Mr Kulkarni has wide experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, microsurgery, hand and wrist surgery, and skin cancer surgery. He treats a range of conditions and has a particular interest in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery (including surgical treatment of gynaecomastia),abdominoplasty, liposuction, body contouring, and rhinoplasty, face lift and blepharoplasty surgery.
Mr Kulkarni can see and consult on children of all ages. Whilst most young children can be managed without surgery, when it is required, he undertakes this at The Princess Margaret Hospital for children aged 3 and above. Mr Kulkarni can also perform paediatric plastic surgery as a specialised treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital.
Mr Kulkarni offers medico-legal assessments and writes reports about patients’ injuries, scars and disabilities for solicitors. Mr Kulkarni is actively involved in research and has published and presented in the UK and internationally. He also works as an Examiner for the Intercollegiate Board for the FRCS (Plast).
