Contributions to the Field
Mr. Tiruveedhula is recognised for his pioneering work in flat foot reconstruction across all age groups and for his expertise in minimally invasive correction of bunions and lesser toe deformities. He also manages children and adults with ligament injuries involving the ankle and knee (excluding ACL reconstruction) and performs meniscal repairs for both acute and chronic tears. He has a special interest in treating children and young adults with limb deformities such as leg length discrepancy, genu valgus (knock knees), and genu varum (bowlegs). He also treats hip conditions in adolescents, including slipped capital femoral epiphysis and Perthes’ disease.
An enthusiastic educator, Mr. Tiruveedhula has organised multiple GP teaching sessions, served as invited faculty at national and international conferences, and led cadaveric workshops focusing on diabetic foot reconstruction and minimally invasive bunion surgery.
Research & Publications
He is actively involved in clinical research, particularly in Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) and long-term outcomes in diabetic foot reconstruction. His ongoing contributions continue to shape best practices in orthopaedic surgery, balancing clinical expertise with academic leadership.
