Ms Lucy Hicklin is a highly regarded and experienced consultant Ear Nose and Throat surgeon, with a deep understanding of treating conditions of the head and neck. She prides herself on achieving the highest levels of care and communication with patients. She has extensive experience in all areas of ENT surgery, with a specialist interest in voice disorders, swallowing problems, sinusitis, headache and the use of botulinum toxin for therapeutic purposes.  She is equally at home in treating general ENT problems such as tonsillitis, ear infections, runny nose and hearing problems.
 
A leading surgeon in the field, Ms Hicklin has been consultant ENT surgeon at St Georges Hospital since 2003. She undertook her surgical training in London and South England gaining the FRCS in 1996 and the Intercollegiate FRCS ORL(H&N) in 2002. Ms Hicklin has a broad ENT practice treating all ENT disorders including ear infections, sore throat, tonsillitis, hoarse voice, sinus problems blocked nose, deafness, dizziness and headache. Due to her extensive work with highly complex patients with head and neck neurological disorders she has also developed an expertise in the use of botulinum toxin.  An experienced teacher of doctors and other health professionals at all stages of their career, Ms Hicklin also provides regular training and talks to GPs and ENT surgeons and neurologists. Ms Hicklin has also published a number of academic papers and delivered lectures to national and international conferences. Since 2018 she has been an examiner for the Royal College of surgeons. 

Ms Hicklin was awarded her CCST in 2003, she was then was appointed as consultant ENT surgeon at St Georges and Croydon University Hospital in September 2003. In the last few years she has concentrated her NHS practice at St Georges and no longer works at CUH. 

Research 

Ms Hicklin is a surgeon who has a strong interest in the care offered to patients with complex head and neck neurological conditions. She has authored many peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work at international ENT and Neurology meetings. Ms Hicklin has reviewed papers for several prestigious journals.
