Mr Julian Flynn is a dual Fellowship trained orthopaedic specialist, specialising in knee surgery, hip surgery, lower limb injuries and paediatric orthopaedics.
He trained as an undergraduate at Oriel College, Oxford and St Mary’s Hospital, London, before completing his junior surgical training in London. Mr Flynn returned to Oxford to complete the Orthopaedic Training Programme. His interest in knee and sport injuries allowed him to complete dual Fellowships in knee surgery and sports surgery in Australia, followed by a Paediatric Fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Mr Flynn has an established consultant led private practice focusing on knee ligament reconstruction, complex revision ligament surgery and minimal access knee replacements. His surgical procedures and advanced techniques focus on minimising trauma to the joint to allow earlier discharge from hospital, quicker recovery and an earlier return to normal function.
He works closely with physiotherapy teams to ensure rehabilitation programmes are personalised and achieve optimum outcomes for the patient.
Mr Flynn is well respected within the orthopaedic and trauma community and is on the faculty for national and international training courses for arthroscopy, partial knee replacement and cartilage surgery.
