Specialist in Varicose Vein Surgery with a focus on modern keyhole techniques

Mr Prionidis is an experienced Consultant Vascular Surgeon and the Clinical Lead of the Department of Vascular, Endovascular and Access Surgery at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, Essex.

He performs a full range of arterial, venous and renal access surgery and specialises in complex lower limb arterial disease, carotid artery disease, renal access and varicose veins treatment. He completed his Vascular and General Surgical training in the United Kingdom and Greece.

He completed a Fellowship at the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, New York Presbyterian Hospital, USA.

Mr Prionidis has been awarded a PhD for his work on intermittent pneumatic compression and venous haemodynamics of the lower limb. His Thesis combined innovative biomechanical, electronic and computer engineering technology to create a novel device in order to improve blood flow in leg veins.

His research work in this and other areas has been published extensively.
