Dr James Shutt was appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust in 2009. He qualified in 1998 from the University of Southampton Medical School, with a first-class honours intercalated BSc. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2001, training as a specialist in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine in the Wessex region over the next seven years.
