Personal Profile

Helen Scott is a highly experienced Senior Physiotherapist who qualified in physiotherapy in 1999.

Since then, she has continued to develop her clinical expertise through advanced study, including the completion of a Master of Science module in Therapeutic Exercise in Rehabilitation. In addition, Helen has undertaken specialist training in the use of acupuncture within physiotherapy practice and is a registered member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Over the course of her career, Helen has gained extensive experience across a wide range of clinical environments. She has worked in both NHS and private hospital settings, as well as in community-based services. Her clinical background includes work in intensive care units (ITU), orthopaedics, amputee rehabilitation, musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, and sports injury management. Helen is particularly passionate about supporting patients throughout their orthopaedic surgery journey, drawing on her training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Therapists to enhance patient care and recovery.

In 2017, Helen contributed her skills and knowledge as a volunteer member of the medical team at the GB Special Olympics, demonstrating her commitment to inclusive healthcare and community engagement.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Helen leads a busy family life caring for her four children. She enjoys running and values spending quality time with her friends and family.
