Mr Hany Nada is a highly accomplished Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon currently based at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London. With an extensive clinical background spanning over 15 years, Mr Nada specializes in the management of complex colorectal pathologies, advanced abdominal wall reconstruction, and emergency general surgery. His practice is defined by a commitment to minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, aimed at optimizing patient recovery and oncological outcomes.
Academic Background and Qualifications
Mr Nada’s surgical foundation is built upon a rigorous academic trajectory. He earned his primary medical degree (MBBS) from Cairo University in 2002. He subsequently pursued advanced academic research, obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) in Surgical Oncology in 2009, followed by a PhD in Surgical Oncology from Cairo University in 2018. His professional excellence was further cemented by attaining the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) of England in 2010 and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in General Surgery in 2020.

Beyond the operating theatre, Mr Nada holds significant leadership responsibilities. He serves as the Surgical Lead for the National Emergency Laparotomy Audit (NELA) at St George’s. He is deeply involved in clinical governance, having led quality improvement projects focused on consent standardization and emergency surgery pathways.
As a dedicated educator, he is a member of the Faculty for the Royal College of Surgeons, teaching Basic Surgical Skills. He also serves as faculty for laparoscopic skills courses at the Guy's and St Thomas’ Simulation Centre and provides regular supervision and training for medical students and surgical trainees (FY/CT).
