Personal Profile

Mr Hastie is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Royal Bolton Hospital and the Beaumont Hospital. He specialises in the surgical and non-surgical management of disorders of the hip and knee, performing both hip/knee arthroplasty, as well as revision hip arthroplasty.

He undertook his medical training at the University of Nottingham graduating in 2008 before completing his core and higher surgical training in orthopaedics in the Northwest of England. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2018 before gaining his certificate of completion of training in 2020.

After completing training, he was successful in gaining a fellowship of extensive training in both complex primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty at Wrightington Hospital. Following this in 2021, he was appointed as a Consultant to Royal Bolton Hospital. He regularly teaches on specialist hip and knee courses as well as courses for trainees preparing for their specialist orthopaedic exams.
