He spent 2 years post-training as a junior consultant in a sports medicine facility and was responsible for a wide variety of case load, most of it trauma. He was aware of his shortcomings in elective orthopaedics and hence moved to the UK in 1997 with his family.
Post FRCS, Mr Devarajan trained first in Oswestry-Stoke and subsequently in the North West to complete his CCST in 2006. He then trained in Wrightington and Wigan, Royal Preston, Stepping Hill, Royal Blackburn and North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary whilst gaining the above specialist experience. Mr Devarajan has developed a sub-specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery and also completed a Fellowship in Adult Lower Limb Reconstructive surgery.
Mr Devarajan's current practice provides a comprehensive, evidence-based complex fore foot and hind foot tertiary referral work, in addition to routine knee surgery. He is proficient in managing sports injuries to the ankle and foot and also undertakes advanced minimally invasive surgery of the foot and ankle and is a key opinion maker in this field.
