About Mrs Esther Dawson

Personal Profile

Esther is a highly skilled and compassionate physiotherapist with over 17 years of experience across NHS and private healthcare settings. A graduate of Sheffield Hallam University (2007), Esther has built a career grounded in clinical excellence, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy since 2010.

Her early career included diverse hospital rotations in orthopaedics, elderly medicine, neurology, and general medicine, providing a strong foundation for her MSK specialism. She has since deepened her expertise with a Master’s in Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from York St John University.

Esther also specialises in women’s health physiotherapy, with a particular focus on postnatal rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping women restore core strength and address long-standing issues such as back pain, pelvic dysfunction, and incontinence—even years after pregnancy. Her empathetic approach is shaped by her own experience as a mother, allowing her to connect deeply with clients navigating the physical and emotional demands of parenthood.

In 2019, Esther qualified as a yoga instructor, integrating yoga principles into her physiotherapy practice to support holistic rehabilitation and pain management. As a keen runner, she also has a strong interest in running-related injuries and enjoys combining functional strength training with flexibility work to enhance performance and recovery.

Esther’s practice is built on attentive listening and personalised care. She believes that clinical knowledge is most effective when paired with a deep understanding of each individual’s goals and challenges. Her treatment plans are tailored to support long-term health and well-being, combining evidence-based techniques with a compassionate, client-centred approach.
