Miss Elaine Cheung is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with a strong focus on advancing women’s health through clinical care, education, and research. With specialist interests in fetal medicine and general gynaecology, including menstrual disorders, fibroids, endometriosis, sexual health, menopause, and pre-conceptual care, she has established herself as a dedicated professional in her field.
Miss Cheung graduated from Bart’s and The London Medical School, where she also earned a first-class honours degree in Anatomy (BSc). She later completed specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) in 2023, recognizing her contributions and expertise in the field.
Miss Cheung is a substantive NHS consultant at Barnet Hospital, Royal Free London NHS Trust and is highly regarded for her clinical expertise. She provides patient-centred care with a focus on evidence-based practice, supporting women through complex health issues with empathy and professionalism. Her comprehensive approach to care includes integrating medical acupuncture, where appropriate, to enhance patient outcomes.
Miss Cheung is deeply committed to education and mentoring. She serves as a clinical lecturer for the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), training healthcare professionals in her areas of expertise. As a council member and secretary of BMAS, she plays an active role in shaping the organisation’s initiatives.
