Personal Profile

Mr Westcott was a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust from 2012 to 2021 and now practises full-time in the private sector.

His main areas of expertise include colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, with specialist experience in advanced procedures such as pouch surgery, Kono-S anastomosis and Michelassi strictureplasty. He also has a strong interest in proctology, offering modern treatments including laser surgery for anal fistula and haemorrhoids.

In addition, Mr Westcott performs hernia surgery, including inguinal hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction and Botox injections where appropriate.

Originally from Worcestershire, Mr Westcott moved to London to study Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School. During his surgical training, he worked across five of London’s leading teaching hospitals and completed an MD at St Mark’s Hospital, focusing on the pathogenesis of Crohn’s disease.
