Personal Profile

Mr Edward Streeter is a Senior Consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon with a specialist interest in prostate and bladder cancer and minimally invasive techniques for prostate symptoms.

He was an undergraduate at Trinity College, Cambridge, before completing medical school at Magdalen College, Oxford. His training included a period of dedicated research in the Cancer Research UK laboratories at Oxford.

His thesis looked at the molecular biology of bladder cancer, for which he was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine from Oxford University. His further studies have included a visit to the University of Mansoura to study bladder cancer in Egypt, and two travelling fellowships to the USA, to study robotic surgery.

In 2007, Mr Streeter was awarded the Keith Yeates Gold Medal by the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, for his outstanding performance in the FRCS (Urology) examination.

Mr Streeter works in the NHS as a consultant Urological Surgeon at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury. Here he has pioneered minimally invasive surgery for benign prostate symptoms including Urolift and Rezum. His specialist surgical interests include Prostate and Bladder Cancers and  Robotic Surgery, as well as all aspects of general urology. He has developed several groundbreaking IT based solutions for cancer diagnosis and tracking in use for the patients of East Kent.
