About Dr Dominic Kelly

Personal Profile

Dominic Kelly is a consultant cardiologist working in both the NHS and private sector. In addition to his medical degree he also holds a first class degree in pharmacology (how drugs work) and a higher medical doctorate (MD) for his research in heart failure for the British Heart Foundation. He trained at Liverpool Medical School, completing post graduate training in the Wessex Region. 

Dr Kelly sees patients with all forms of heart disease and has sub-speciality interests in heart failure, pacemakers and other cardiac devices such as implantable defibrillators as well as heart rhythm management.

He is the lead cardiologist for pacemakers and devices as well as running the heart failure service at the RHCH. In addition to his clinical work he lectures on cardiac diseases at national and international medical meetings.
