Dr Dhruv Rastogi is a Consultant Paediatrician with over a decade of consultant experience and a specialist interest in paediatric respiratory medicine, asthma and allergy. Alongside his clinical practice, he is Divisional Director for Babies, Children and Young People across the Royal Free London Group, one of the largest providers of children's services in North London, serving North Middlesex Hospital, Barnet Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital. 

After graduating in medicine with First Class honours, Dr Rastogi completed his postgraduate paediatric training through the London Deanery before working as a Locum Consultant in General Paediatrics and Respiratory Medicine at Evelina London Children's Hospital. He was appointed Consultant Paediatrician at North Middlesex University Hospital in 2013. 

Dr Rastogi has extensive experience caring for children with both acute and long-term medical conditions. He has particular expertise in assessing children with unexplained or recurrent respiratory symptoms or allergic conditions, helping families reach a diagnosis when the underlying cause is not immediately clear. He has specialist expertise in Allergy, Asthma and respiratory medicine. As Paediatric Asthma Lead at North Middlesex University Hospital, he has led service improvements and developed national clinical pathways to improve outcomes for children with asthma and respiratory disease. 

His approach is to look beyond a single symptom and understand the whole child. Many respiratory and allergic conditions overlap with other childhood illnesses, and he believes that careful , clear communication and evidence-based treatment are key to achieving the right diagnosis and management plan. He works closely with families to ensure they understand their child's condition and feel confident in the next steps. 

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Rastogi leads children's services across the Royal Free London Group. He remains actively involved in teaching medical students, junior doctors and paediatric trainees, and has contributed to research, national clinical audits and service development in paediatrics. 

Dr Rastogi is known for his calm, approachable manner and for taking the time to listen carefully to children and their families. His aim is to provide expert, compassionate care while ensuring that every family leaves with a clear understanding of their child’s condition, a practical treatment plan and confidence in the next steps.
