About David Gerrard

Personal Profile

Mr David Gerrard trained at King's College Hospital in London before beginning work as a doctor at The Royal Surrey County Hospital, where he developed his interest in surgery.

Mr Gerrard completed higher surgical training in the South West Thames region and at St Thomas' Hospital, London. Here, he completed a Fellowship in endovascular aortic surgery.

6 years ago, he became an appointed consultant at Frimley Park Hospital and received an honorary contract to provide vascular surgery at The Royal Surrey last year.

Mr Gerrard's clinical interests include a wide range of vascular diseases. He founded the endovascular program in West Surrey,  one of the first groups in the UK to treat varicose veins with lasers (EVLT).

Outside medicine, Mr Gerrard enjoys time with his wife and three young children. He plays the piano and having retired from playing football and cricket, now enjoys long distance cycling.

  • Local anaesthetic hernia repair.
