About Mr Charles Blakeway
Personal Profile
Mr Blakeway has over 20 years experience as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Bournemouth.
He trained at St Bartholomews Hospital, which included training in plastic surgery, and at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital London. He was a Harvard Fellow in Boston USA.
Mr Blakeway performs resurfacing knee replacement, partial knee replacement and total hip replacement including hip resurfacing.
He also performs knee and hip revision operations. He has an interest in sports injuries, including arthroscopic surgery and ACL ligament reconstruction.
Mr Blakeway and his anaesthetist have a particular interest in safe joint replacement in the very elderly.
