Mr. Baker is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with a broad area of expertise in most areas of Gynaecology.

In particular Mr Baker is an expert in the management of menstrual disorders including endometriosis and fibroids, pelvic pain, contraception, abnormal bleeding, Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and menopause.

Mr Baker is also skilled in the management of female prolapse and pain during intercourse, infertility, vulval skin disorders and the urgent assessment of women with a suspected gynaecological cancer.

Mr. Baker trained at University College London, achieving a distinction in clinical practice in 2005. He received training in General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedic Surgery, Medicine and General Surgery. He then began his specialist postgraduate training focused on gynaecological cancers and high-risk maternity care in hospitals across Southampton, Poole, Bournemouth, Salisbury, and Portsmouth. He was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2016.

His priority is ensuring his patients have a friendly, skilled and kind consultant with whom to discuss options, and to provide the best possible care in the medical and surgical management of women's gynaecological problems.

Mr. Baker is local to East Dorset, having attended high school in Bournemouth. He is married with three children, and spends his free time playing cricket and rugby.
