Please note that all consultation fees will be paid on the day at the end of your consultation. Payment will be taken by Dr Buchi Nzekwue. Any additional fees i.e. for imaging, blood tests, procedures or investigations, will be invoiced to you separately by the hospital.

Dr Buchi Nzekwue studies medicine at the prestigious University College London, graduating in 2007. She went onto pursue a career in General Practice, while also gaining further expertise and specialist training in Reproductive and Genitourinary medicine. Dr Buchi currently works as a GP partner in a private clinic while also working as an expert specialist GP in genitourinary and reproductive medicine under the NHS since 2014.

Dr Buchi has extended experience in assessing and prescribing weight loss injections (including Wegovy and Mounjaro) and has facilitated many patients in their successful weight loss journey. She is also clinically skilled for minor procedures and qualified to administer anti sweat injections for armpits (hyperhidrosis), fit and remove intrauterine coils and contraceptive hormonal implant, as well as MSK steroid joint injections.

Dr Nzekwue focusses on bio-psycho-social management of health issues, making sure your prioritised needs are managed comprehensively and any issues you were not aware of being brought to your full attention using her wide scope of expertise.

Being a member of the Royal College of General Practitioner, Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, the British Menopause Society, The Primary Care Dermatology Society, The European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the Aesthetics Complication Expert Group – has enhanced what care she provides in these important areas of general practice. Her practice is well informed by honed evidence base medicine that has led her to the forefront of running medical research that holds great promise for dermatological and sexual health medicine practised in primary care and taught to resident doctors in NHS settings (receiving Outstanding Teaching Nomination at the Medical Education Awards for Oxleas NHS Trust).

Dr Buchi is actively engaged in clinical medical research, and currently serves as a co-principal investigator in the PEARLS Trial, which investigates the efficacy of maintenance therapy in preventing exacerbations and progression of vulval lichen sclerosus, a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can have profound implications for patients’ quality of life and psychological well-being. This reflects her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care.

Beyond her professional commitments, she cherishes time being a mother and enjoys exploring the serene surroundings of Royal Greenwich Park and Greenwich Market.
