I am a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, where I have worked since 2014. I undertook my specialist training across several hospitals within the East Midlands and Bristol deaneries.
With more than 25 years of clinical experience, including over 12 years as a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine, I have extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.
My clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of respiratory disorders, with particular specialist interests in lung cancer, pleural disease, sleep medicine, non-invasive ventilation, unexplained breathlessness and chronic cough. I routinely assess and manage patients with asthma, COPD, lung nodules, pulmonary fibrosis, airways disease, bronchiectasis and interstitial lung disease, among other respiratory conditions.
I have a particular interest and expertise in sleep-related breathing disorders, including sleep apnoea and snoring. As part of the Acute Respiratory Care Unit at the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC), I also provide specialist care for patients undergoing assessment for home ventilation for a range of conditions, including neuromuscular and thoracic cage disorders.
My research interests include sleep apnoea, non-invasive ventilation, pleural disease and interventional bronchoscopy.
