Personal Profile

Anooj Majithia is a Consultant Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Surgeon whose private practice is based at The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, The Bishops Wood Hospital in Northwood and The Chiltern Hospital in Great Missenden.

Mr Majithia graduated from Guys and St Thomas Hospital Medical Schools, London in 2000 where he was awarded MBBS (Hons) with distinction. He underwent basic surgical and higher surgical ENT training in the North Thames region of London, working at a number of prestigious surgical centres including St Bartholomew’s & The Royal London Hospitals, The Royal Free Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital. He completed his training in 2011 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England - FRCS (ORL-HNS).

Mr Majithia has an NHS practice based at both North West London University Hospitals NHS Trust (Northwick Park Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital) and at The Hillingdon Hospitals Foundation Trust (Mount Vernon Hospital and Hillingdon Hospital). He offers expertise in all aspects of General ENT and his sub-specialist interests are Ear Surgery, Hearing Loss, Balance disorders, Ear discharge, Tinnitus, Blocked Nose and Sinusitis, Allergy, Snoring and Sleep Apnoea, and Voice disorders. 

Along with treating adults, Mr Majithia also has specialist expertise in Children’s ENT disorders and part of his higher surgical training was at the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH). He is the Clinical Lead for paediatric ENT at both North West London University Hospitals NHS Trust and at The Hillingdon Hospitals Foundation Trust. Whilst most young children can be managed without surgery, when it is required, he undertakes this at The Clementine Churchill Hospital for children aged 3 and above. For children under the age of 3, the surgery can be undertaken either at TrustPlus at Northwick Park Hospital or at the Portland Hospital in London.

Mr Majithia has a keen interest in teaching. He is an Educational Supervisor and Clinical Supervisor to several trainee doctors at the national award-winning ENT training unit at Northwick Park Hospital.

Mr Majithia is an Honorary Undergraduate Clinical Tutor helping train medical students at Imperial College School of Medicine. He has postgraduate qualifications in teaching from Imperial College and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He is also a Faculty member and invited speaker for several courses.

Mr Majithia has an interest in academic research with over 25 peer reviewed publications. His current interest is in the use of diffusion weighted MRI in Cholesteatoma management. He has also completed the Diploma in Management Studies (DMS), with distinction, from Buckinghamshire University.

  • All common paediatric ENT conditions including tongue tie, tonsillitis, glue ear, nosebleeds, allergy and sleep apnoea
