Personal Profile

Mr Ankit Desai is an Orthopaedic Surgeon, who specialises in diagnosing and treating upper limb conditions. With dual-fellowship training and extensive experience, Mr Desai expertly handles a wide range of complex shoulder and elbow issues.

Training and Appointment

Mr Desai’s medical journey began at University College London, where he completed his medical training and earned a BSc degree in Physiology. This strong academic foundation provided him with a deep understanding of human physiology, which he applies to his orthopaedic practice.

He pursued his orthopaedic training in the Surrey and Sussex region, working alongside several renowned shoulder and elbow surgeons in many of the major hospitals in southeast England. This hands-on experience allowed Mr Desai to refine his skills and gain invaluable insights into the latest surgical techniques and treatment methodologies.

Mr Desai completed his first fellowship at the prestigious South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC), a renowned institution known for its excellence in orthopaedic care. This fellowship provided him with advanced training in elective orthopaedic procedures, further enhancing his expertise in treating shoulder and elbow conditions. He then went on to train at the internationally acclaimed Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in Stanmore, where he gained exposure to cutting-edge treatments and innovative surgical techniques.
