Mr Aniruddha Pendse specialises in shoulder and elbow surgery, sports injuries and soft tissue knee and knee joint preservation surgery.

He was appointed as a Consultant at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS trust in 2017 and has taken the Trust into the new era of modern shoulder and sports surgery with the latest understanding in this rapidly evolving branch of Orthopaedics.

Mr Pendse graduated from the prestigious MS University in India and completed his residency in Trauma and Orthopaedics, in the busy University Hospital. Having completed his Basic surgical training and higher surgical rotation, he finished fellowship in Trauma and Paediatric surgery at Cardiff, followed by advanced Shoulder and sports injury knee fellowship at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital at Birmingham.

Mr Pendse has a strong academic background with extensive publications on different topics in orthopaedics. Mr Pendse has extensive experience in shoulder and knee surgery and his NHS and Elective practice encompasses all aspects of modern shoulder and knee surgery.

Operations offered include: Arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery. Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation and Remplissage procedure, Arthrocspic ACJ stabilisation, Arthroscopic shoulder release for frozen shoulders, Arthroscopic sub-acromial decompression. Pectoralis major repair and reconstruction, Anatomic and Reverse shoulder replacement, Revision shoulder replacement, arthroscopic interpositional balloon arthroplasty, Arthroscopic Suprascapular nerve release, all aspects of shoulder fracture surgery, Tennis elbow release, Platelet rich plasma injections, ulnar nerve release at the elbow, biceps tendon reconstruction, Arthroscopic ACL  and multiligament knee reconstruction, arthroscopic cartilage and meniscus procedure, anterior knee pain procedure, patella instability procedures, knee preserving realignment procedures.

Mr Pendse has a strong ethos of holistic and shared decision-making with his patients and works closely with specialist sports physiotherapist and Musculoskeletal radiologist in the region to facilitate rapid diagnosis and management planning getting the patients faster on their road to recovery and back to the activities they enjoy.
