Mr. Andrew Hilton is a highly experienced Consultant Spinal Surgeon, specialising in the rapid and accurate diagnosis, as well as the surgical and non-surgical treatment, of a wide range of spinal conditions that cause back pain, slipped (prolapsed) disc, sciatica, leg pain, neck pain, and arm pain.

As Lead Consultant Spinal Surgeon for Dorset, Mr. Hilton is a strong advocate of a holistic, patient-centred approach. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, personalised care focused on restoring function and improving quality of life.

Mr. Hilton prefers minimally invasive, micro-surgical techniques designed to reduce tissue trauma and minimise recovery time. His surgical expertise includes:

Training & Qualifications

Mr. Hilton studied at University College London Medical School and completed orthopaedic training through the Guy’s and St Thomas’s programme in London and the South-East of England. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in both London and Edinburgh.

He further sub-specialised through a prestigious Spinal Surgery Fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London. On completion of the Spinal Surgical Fellowship in 2005, he was appointed as a Consultant in Dorset, where he is the Lead Consultant Spinal Surgeon.
