Mr Amr Elkhouly, is a Consultant of Trauma and Orthopaedics in the Royal Berkshire Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh-Trauma and Orthopaedics- as well as a Member of the British Society for Children’s Orthopaedic Surgery (BSCOS). He is also a faculty member of the Miller’s International Orthopaedic FRCS teaching course, Oxford, UK.
Amr completed three national specialist fellowships in Alderhey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool University Hospital, Southampton University Hospital and the Royal Berkshire Hospital. He has also completed an international limb reconstruction fellowship in the Ilizarov Institute, Kurgan, Russia, for limb deformities. In 2017 he attended and presented at the International Paediatric Orthopaedic Symposium (Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA))

Outside work, loves his Basketball! Back in his home town, he was a member of the Alexandria Sporting Club first team who won the Egyptian cup on a number of occasions. He played University basketball with Alexandria winning the cup three years in a row and then went on to represent Egypt at international level, winning gold medals in several tournaments. Amr and his young family are now proud supporters of the Reading Rockets Basketball team.
