Dr. Aji Kavidasan is a highly respected Consultant in General and Respiratory Medicine, known for his expertise and leadership in chest medicine. With over 20 years of experience, he has dedicated his career to delivering exceptional care to patients with respiratory conditions.

Training

Dr. Kavidasan completed his specialist training in Respiratory and General Medicine in Bristol in 2001. He, gained extensive experience at renowned institutions like the North Bristol Lung Centre and University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

Practice

Since being appointed in October 2008 as Consultant Chest Physician at Milton Keynes Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, he has served as Lead Clinician in the Department of Respiratory Medicine.

In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Kavidasan was awarded Fellowship of the American College of Chest Physicians in 2009 and is a member of the American College of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology, as well as the World Association of Bronchologists.

Dr. Kavidasan expertise spans various areas of respiratory medicine, including pleural diseases, interventional pulmonology, sleep-related breathing disorders, suspected lung cancer, obstructive sleep apnea, pulmonary TB, and post-COVID-19 symptoms. He provides personalised care, using advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques to achieve the best outcomes for his patients.

Academic

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kavidasan has a strong interest in medical education and academic activities. He leads undergraduate medical students from King’s College and St George’s Medical School and serves as an educational and clinical supervisor for several postgraduate medical trainees.

He serves as the National Chair for MRCP UK Examinations at the Royal College of Physicians and as an International Examiner for MRCP UK. Additionally, he is a GMC Associate for the General Medical Council UK, focusing on CESR assessments.
