Mr. Avasthi incorporates the latest advancements in orthopaedics, with a particular focus on minimally invasive Shoulder & Elbow procedures to enhance recovery and outcomes.
After qualifying in 2001 and obtaining a Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics) in India, Mr. Avasthi trained extensively in the south of England, including at St Richard’s and Worthing Hospitals. He achieved Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in 2008 and completed his Fellowship (FRCS) in Trauma & Orthopaedics in 2015. To further refine his expertise, he pursued fellowships in Advanced Trauma (Brighton) and Shoulder & Elbow Surgery (Manchester).
Since joining St Richard’s and Worthing Hospitals as a Consultant in 2019, Mr. Avasthi has played a key role in managing complex elective and trauma cases. In addition to his clinical work, he is an RCS-accredited ATLS & BSS Instructor, actively involved in training and mentoring specialist trainees, junior doctors, and medical students.
