Shoulder manipulation for frozen shoulder starting from £2,060*
Shoulder manipulation is a non-surgical procedure in which your Orthopaedic Surgeon carefully moves your shoulder joint through a range of motions to ease any stiffness. You could be given anaesthetic before your shoulder manipulation treatment to prevent any pain.
Rotator cuff repair surgery starting from £5,782*
Your rotator cuff consists of four muscles that are each attached to a tendon. These tendons merge to form your rotator cuff tendon, a single large tendon that connects to your humeral head (the head of your humerus or upper arm bone). If this tendon becomes torn, you might need rotator cuff repair surgery.
Rotator cuff repair surgery can be performed through an arthroscopy, which is an operation that uses a few small incisions to gain access to your shoulder joint, or open surgery, where a single large incision is made to perform your surgery. Your Surgeon will first remove any abnormal bone growth and then reattach your torn tendon to the top of your humerus.
Shoulder dislocation surgery starting from £6,235*
If your shoulder joint becomes partially dislocated, this means the ball at the top of your humerus (upper arm bone) is partially removed from the socket in your shoulder blade that it fits into. A complete dislocation means the same ball is completely removed from its socket in your shoulder blade. Dislocation most often happens as a result of accident or injury.
Although a dislocated shoulder can often be corrected without surgery, sometimes there is damage to the surrounding tendons or ligaments, too. In this case you might be recommended a procedure to repair this damage so as to avoid future dislocations.
Shoulder replacement surgery starting from £11,695*
Shoulder replacement surgery involves removing and replacing the damaged ends of your shoulder joint with artificial components or a prosthesis. If the ball at the top of your humerus (upper arm bone) is damaged, your Orthopaedic Surgeon could advise partial shoulder replacement surgery to remove and replace this with a prosthesis.
If both ends of your shoulder joint are damaged, your Orthopaedic Surgeon could recommend total shoulder replacement surgery. This is when the socket in your scapula (shoulder blade) and the ball at the top of your humerus are both replaced with a prosthesis.
