At The Winterbourne Hospital, our private diagnostic imaging department offers fast access to investigations for patients that live in Dorchester, Weymouth, Bridport and the surrounding areas.
We offer the following services within the department, which is staffed with clinical professionals who support our team of vastly experienced private radiologists and radiographers.
The department uses general x-ray units which can perform a wide range of examinations.
The static MRI scanner is open 5 days a week and is capable of scanning all parts of the body, producing high quality resolution scans in 20-40 minutes (depending on the part of the body being scanned).
At The Winterbourne Hospital, our ultrasound service allows us to carry out diagnostic scanning in a wide range of specialties, including musculoskeletal, abdominal , thyroid, and renal.
Some appointments are available within 24 hours. Please note a referral is required for all appointments and is only for patients 18 or over.

If you are paying for yourself, we can usually offer an upfront cost which you can then choose to pay in full or access one of our easy payment options.
