Senior Children’s Nurse
Angela qualified from the University of Hertfordshire in 2010 with a BSc in Children’s Nursing. She has 7 years’ worth of experience as a paediatric Nurse caring for children and supporting them through their recovery.
Angela started her professional career at Great Ormond Street Hospital where her specialty was in Dermatology and Rheumatology. She worked as a very valuable member of the team there for 2 and a half years before going back into general paediatrics for the following 4 years. After taking a course on the High Dependency of the sick child, her focus then moved into care of the wards most vulnerable young patients.
Angela has experience looking after children with various conditions and health needs including those with diabetes and asthma. As a paediatric nurse she is used to communicating and interacting with children from various age groups. You will find her to be respectful when dealing with patients and their families, relating with empathy and sensitivity.
Fiona qualified with her Nursing diploma in 2001 from The University of Birmingham. Following this she moved on to Northampton General Hospital where she began her training in Paediatric Nursing. As of January 2018 Fiona has over 17 years’ experience supporting and treating children of day case procedures and with varying medical conditions.
Fiona’s main experience has been in Neonates and working on the Neonatal Unit, through which she has developed a particular interest in feeding problems. She joined the Saxon Clinic in 2017 and has already become an integral part of the paediatric nursing team here.
Together with her colleagues Fiona is keen to develop the paediatric service at The Saxon to ensure our young patients continue to get the best possible care.
