At The Duchy Hospital offers fast access to a range of imaging procedures to help with diagnosis and to aid treatment decisions.

The Imaging department offers a comprehensive diagnostic service with HPC registered Radiographers and Consultant Radiologists. All staff are encouraged to participate in a continuing education programme to ensure that the department is up to date with developments in imaging and techniques.

Imaging tests are reported by Consultant Radiologists within 48 hours, but most are done on the same day. Urgent results can be fast tracked by prior arrangement.

The department includes musculoskeletal services such as joint injections, all general ultrasounds including gynaecological, hernias and gall bladder scanning.

At The Duchy Hospital there is a weekly visiting MRI service every Saturday.

X-Ray

We offer all general X-rays at request of your GP or consultant – these are digital X-rays that can be instantly viewed by your doctor.

Ultrasound

All general ultrasounds including gynaecological, hernias and gall bladder scanning.
