Our digital mammography service provides high-quality breast imaging to support the investigation of breast symptoms and ongoing breast care. Working closely with our Beardwood Cancer Centre, Consultant Breast Surgeons and multidisciplinary team, we provide seamless diagnostic imaging to support patients from initial assessment through to treatment and follow-up.
We also offer digital breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography), which produces highly detailed breast images to support the early detection and accurate diagnosis of breast conditions. Where appropriate, additional imaging such as breast ultrasound or MRI can be arranged to provide a more comprehensive assessment.
Our dedicated MRI department is home to the latest 1.5 Tesla wide-bore MRI scanner, reflecting our continued investment in providing outstanding diagnostic imaging and patient care.
Designed to deliver high-quality images while providing a more comfortable scanning experience, the wider bore offers more space than a standard MRI scanner and can help patients who may feel anxious or claustrophobic.
The scanner also features a range of comfort-enhancing features designed around the patient experience, including integrated music, personalised lighting options and a more calming environment during your scan. These features help create a more relaxed experience while our experienced Radiographers are on hand to support you throughout your appointment.

Our advanced 64-slice CT scanner produces detailed cross-sectional images quickly while using low-dose radiation techniques where appropriate.
We provide a comprehensive range of CT examinations, including CT colonography, helping consultants diagnose a wide variety of conditions with speed and accuracy.

Many ultrasound examinations are Consultant-led, and in some cases your Consultant may discuss your findings with you on the day of your appointment.
Following your examination, your imaging report will be sent promptly to the GP or Consultant who referred you. They will explain your results, answer any questions and discuss any further treatment or investigations that may be required..

A referral from your GP, Consultant or healthcare professional is required before an appointment can be arranged. This ensures we can recommend the most appropriate imaging examination for your symptoms, comply with current regulations and provide accurate pricing for self-pay patients.
