They have close links with the consultants at Mount Alvernia and, as well as being able to refer direct to a wide variety of specialist experts, the GPs can arrange blood tests, x-rays, CT and MRI scans and other Imaging diagnostics whilst you're in the hospital.

Our in-person private GP appointment service is offered within a modern, fully equipped hospital, allowing fast access to specialised diagnostics like blood tests, x-rays and scans, should you need them.* Our test results are usually available within 48 hours and if needed your GP can make an immediate referral to consultants and specialists at the hospital.

*All referrals are subject to the clinician's discretion, and will only be provided if medically indicated. Referrals to scans and tests can only be issued via face-to-face appointments.

We provide you with the best and most convenient way of looking after your health. As well as providing services when you are unable to see your regular GP, we also provide longer appointment times, allowing you more time to discuss your health concerns or if you'd like a second opinion.

Your private GP will also be able to offer health screening for many illnesses and continuing care for chronic conditions.

The Guildford Private General Practice is based in Mount Alvernia Hospital, allowing fast access to specialised diagnostics such as blood tests, x-rays and scans. Test results are delivered quickly. If you need it, your private GP can make an immediate referral to any of the consultants or specialists at the hospital.
