About us

Private outpatient consultations for people living in the Highland areas of Scotland.

The Inverness Outpatient Centre opened in January 2025 as an extension of the services provided by Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen to patients across the Highlands and Islands. Conveniently located in the heart of Inverness, the clinic allows patients to access private consultations closer to home, reducing the need to travel to Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Designed with patient convenience in mind, individuals can attend private consultations, and have their post-operative reviews with the nursing team, and follow-up appointments with the consultants at Inverness Outpatient Centre, making ongoing care more convenient and accessible

Based within the Emma J Aesthetics, at 6 Ardross Terrace, Inverness, the clinic provides consultations in several specialisms, including orthopaedic medicine (bone and joint health), pain management, general and colorectal surgery and plastic surgery. Consultations are delivered by highly experienced consultants from Scotland who are leaders in their respective fields, providing expert assessment, diagnosis and personalised treatment plans.

Should further investigation, diagnostic imaging, or surgery be required following a consultation, patients will attend Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen and continue their treatment under the care of the same consultant they saw at the Inverness Outpatient Centre. This ensures a seamless patient experience and continuity of care throughout the treatment journey. Patients under the care of Mr Raymond Oliphant, Consultant and General Surgeon, are an exception; their diagnostic tests and surgeries will take place at Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow.

At both Albyn Hospital and Ross Hall Hospital, consultants work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals and administrative staff. Together, they are committed to delivering exceptional private healthcare in a welcoming, supportive and comfortable environment where patients feel valued and cared for.

Individuals can access our services through private medical insurance or by self-paying.

Referrals from GPs and physiotherapists are welcome, with referrals processed through Albyn Hospital.
