A One Stop Cardiology Clinic is available at Circle Cheshire Clinic.

This clinic provides a rapid cardiac assessments by discussing your concerns, being examined, having an ECG and echocardiogram, and then reviewing your results in a single visit. The clinic is run by Matthew Luckie - consultant cardiologist with a wide experience in all aspects of cardiology and specialist expertise in echocardiography and cardiac imaging.

The clinic offers:

• Full cardiology consultation
• ECG
• Echocardiogram
• Feedback on the results of the ECG and echocardiogram on the same day.
• Planning of any further investigations or referrals which may be required
• A full clinic report which will be sent to you and your GP following the appointment. 

The one-stop clinic is ideal for assessment of patients with:

• Symptoms including chest pain, breathlessness and palpitations
• Heart murmurs
• Possible heart failure including patients found to have an elevated BNP blood test
• Valvular heart disease including patients with mitral and aortic valve stenosis or regurgitation
• Assessment and follow-up for patients who have undergone previous heart valve repair or replacement
• Screening for inherited cardiac conditions such as bicuspid aortic valve disease or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy 
• General concerns over your cardiac health
• Cardiac alerts from smart devices eg: Apple watches. 

Following a discussion of your results the consultant may recommend further investigations or follow-up after your one-stop assessment. Additional tests including stress tests, ECG monitors and CT or MR scans, or referral to a specific cardiology clinic for ongoing assessment, can be organised as required (at additional cost for self-pay patients)

 

This service is available to anyone over the age of 18 who has concerns about their heart or would like to get a second opinion following cardiac investigations. A GP referral is not required for consultations although having your full medical history and any tests available for the consultant to review in the clinic will ensure that the appointment is able to fully answer any questions or concerns that you have. 

Appointment slots are available every Monday at Circle Cheshire Clinic in Northwich, although other times - including weekend appointments - can be made available on request.
