After passing his general FRCS exam in 1999, Mr Sadiq had his Orthopaedic training from the Southeast England. He passed his FRCS (Orth) exam in 2013. He is on GMC Specialist register as a Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Mr Sadiq completed fellowship in Upper limb surgery from BartsHealth NHS trust working at the prestigious The Royal London Hospital. His fellowship training included shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand problems. There after he worked at major teaching and tertiary centres of Manchester Royal Infirmary and University Hospitals of Birmingham as an upper limb orthopaedic surgeon before moving to NHS Highland health board as a substantive Orthopaedic and upper limb surgeon in 2020. Mr Sadiq introduced numerous surgical techniques to the hospital and is running an evolving and dynamic shoulder and upper limb service at Raigmore hospital.
Mr Sadiq is routinely performing shoulder arthroscopic (Keyhole) surgery for shoulder pain, rotator cuff tears and shoulder instability. He also undertakes shoulder joint replacement surgery included both anatomical and reverse shoulder replacement on a regular basis. Mr Sadiq also specialises in disorders of elbow, wrist and hand included elbow and wrist tendonitis (tennis & golfer’s elbow)
Mr Sadiq is a senior ATLS instructor. He is also an educational supervisor for trainees. He has been a part of faculty in numerous courses run by NHS Highland.
