Mr Yang can see patients at Goring Hall Hospital for a wide variety of ophthalmic conditions. He also performs a full range of cataract surgery, both routine and complex, using the latest methods and technology to ensure the best outcome for each patient.

His subspecialty interests include medical, surgical and laser treatments for retinal conditions, such as, macular degeneration, macular holes, retinal detachments and vitreous floaters.

Mr Yang has been a Consultant Ophthalmic and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth since 2003. He graduated from Aberbeen University Medical School in 1992 and then spent seven years in specialist surgical training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He also had further subspecialist training in retinal and macular diseases.

In addition to a busy clinical practice, he is also actively involved in innovative research, training ophthalmologists and auditing surgical results.
