About Mr Waleed Al-Singary

Personal Profile

Mr Al-Singary completed his initial training in Iraq in 1980 before coming to the UK in 1995 to commence his surgical/urological training.  His urology training was undertaken in West Yorkshire as well as North Staffordshire where he carried out a Masters Degree in prostate cancer research at Keele University.

Mr Al-Singary was employed as a Urologist at Worthing Hospital, West Sussex from 1998 until July 2016. He developed a specialist interest in female urology and minimally invasive prostate surgery. He was the Clinical Lead in Female Urology.

He is actively involved in many national and international research, clinical trials and audits and has published his results in several peer journals.  He has also written several chapters in text books of Urology.

Mr Al-Singary is Nationally and Internationally recognised as an expert in the treatment of Female Incontinence using minimally invasive techniques and is heavily involved in training consultant urogynaecologists in the UK.

He has also played an integral part in the introduction of Prostatic Urethral Lift using the Urolift device for both NHS and private patients.
