With over two decades of experience, Mr. Wagh specialises in modern cataract surgery using phacoemulsification techniques. He routinely implants advanced multifocal and toric lenses to help patients achieve spectacle-free vision — improving both distance and near sight by correcting astigmatism and age-related focus loss (presbyopia). Special interests include cosmetic oculoplastic surgery of the eyelids and surrounding structures including surgery of the tear drainage system. He also has experience in managing blepharitis and dry eyes with the most up to date treatments available.
Mr Wagh trained in Ophthalmology in the London, including Moorfields Eye Hospital before undertaking a fellowship in St Thomas' Hospital. During this period, he is actively involved in teaching medical students, whilst pursuing research interests which include cataract surgery, refractive surgery, Keratoconus and Lid surgeries.
He is actively involved in medical education and is currently on the Education committee of Royal College of Ophthalmologists, UK. He is on the faculty for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists microsurgical skills course and is also an Examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
Ms Wagh has several publications in international journals and has delivered several lectures both nationally and internationally in his chosen field. He has imparted lectures on various meeting and conferences and trained Opticians and trainee eye surgeons over last two decades.
Mr Wagh provide clinical care for all emergency and general ophthalmic conditions and specialises in Cataract surgery, Oculoplastics, and External Eye Diseases.
