After qualifying from Universität Regensburg, Germany and Technische Universitaet Muenchen (TUM), Mrs Ursula Bax studied adult psychiatry under Prof. Dr. Athen followed by 4 years in child/adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy. During this period she continued her training in psychotherapy and relaxation therapy.

Mrs Bax worked for some time in a child/adolescent practice before qualifying as a consultant for child/adolescent psychotherapy in September 1998. Mrs Bax previously ran my own practice for child/adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy in Munich before moving to London. Within her work Mrs Bax has diagnosed and treated children, adolescents and also older patients and their families with a variety of disorders.

Mrs Bax’s main areas of expertise are patients with ADHD and disorders of psychological development, psychosis and depression. Mrs Bax’s psychotherapy education included in depth training in psychological oriented psychotherapy and 100 hours of one-to-one training psychotherapy and relaxation techniques (progressive muscle relaxation).

During her hospital training she learnt resource-oriented, behaviour and family therapeutic approaches and a profound understanding of and experience with psychotropic drugs. Mrs Bax is an engaging doctor, caring for her young patients and their families in an integral approach acting as a catalyst to aid patients’ recovery.
